As an Artist

I am an Indian Contemporary Artist based in Kolkata, India. The three things which define my style are – a bright color palette, a detailed subject and a botanical background. Each composition is a tribute to the nature- a never ending source for my inspiration. My favorite subject includes birds from different parts of the world. Bird conservation is the prime purpose of my works. Each painting is a detailed portrait of unique bird species which exhibit intense color, texture and beauty. The botanical background of each work is meticulously created to complement the subject. Nature has been my muse, peace and greatest form of hope.

Work Style

My work technique is simple yet steady. It involves layering and build up. I spend quality time on each work, preparing the base of the work and then gradually adding form, depth and details. This technique suits me best to set up a bright color concept that accentuates the colors on the subject of the composition.
